The archive of freelance photographer C. Barton van Flymen is without any doubt impressive. High time for an exhibition with the highlights of his career since 1968. Images related to politics, sports and showbiz which every Dutchmen will remember. Such as the early pictures of soccer players Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten, victories in the Tour de France, the European Championship soccer 1988, portraits of the young Johan Cruijf and Jan Cremer, etc. Real classics.
Also less well known images but personal favourites from Barton which give a good impression of the seventies, eighties and nineties are featured in this exhibition.
A tribute to an always enthusiastic and driven photographer.
This exhibition has been opened by Frans Lomans, editor in chief of the magazine Sportweek.
