"THE MANY FACES OF WATERLAND"
At the occasion of the recently released photo book
"THE MANY FACES OF WATERLAND" a selection out of the 89 photographs featured in the book are being exhibited. The sixteen professional photographers, of whom most live in the Waterland region, are Marco Bakker, Wout Berger, Hans Bottelier, Marijke Bresser, Dirk Buwalda, Rachel Corner, Noor Damen, C. Barton van Flymen, Frits Gerritsen, Olaf Klijn, Henk van der Leeden, Marco van Middelkoop, Albert Roosenburg, Bert Verhoeff, Sietske de Vries and Manfred Wirtz.
Adriaan Monshouwer, former director of the Nederlands Foto Instituut and present director of Photo agency Hollandse Hoogte, was responsible for the selection out of appr. 300 photographs sent in by the photographers. The great variety and different visions of the photographers give a unique image of this wonderful region just north of Amsterdam.
After 11 exhibitions since May 25 May 2006 with a variety of subjects from the photographers Manfred Wirtz, C. Barton van Flymen, Frits Gerritsen, Ton Aartsen, David Galjaard - Anais Lopez - Johan Nieuwenhuize, Marco Bakker, Bert Verhoeff, Martin Wieldraaijer, Robin Morrison, Luc ten Klooster en Marco van Middelkoop, the gallery lives up to it's name with this impressive tribute to Waterland.
After this exhibition the gallery will be closed till 2 February 2008.
